National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) has a Central Library and 19 institutional libraries comprising of about 350,000 collection of books. The three – story, centrally air-conditioned, building of the Central Library is situated at the heart of  NUST main campus (H-12 Sector) in Islamabad facing Scholars Avenue and adjacent to the University Main Office. The total covered area of Central Library is 42,907 sq. ft. with seating capacity for 570 readers. Central Library is manned by highly qualified and experienced Library and Information Science Professionals, committed to provide high quality services to the library users. It possesses rich collection of print, electronic and online resources to fulfil the needs of faculty members, students and researchers. Apart from these, Central Library has facilities such as bookable Group Study Rooms, Seminar Hall, Lincoln Corner NUST, Chinese Corner, Centre for Internationalisation, computer terminals, high speed LAN/Wi-Fi Internet access and laptop points along with electric sockets for charging electronic gadgets.

Library Floors: 

Ground Floor:

Current issues of journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters; reference books; UN Publications and NUST publications are displayed at the ground floor of the Library. One Seminar Hall, four Group Study Rooms, Lincoln Corner NUST, Centre for Internationalisation, Reception for belongings, Office of the Chief Librarian and Book Drop Station (Kiosk) are also located at the ground floor of the Central Library.

1st Floor:

Chinese Corner, Circulation books, Circulation Desk, Technical and User Services Section and Self-checkout Kiosk are located at the 1st floor of the Central Library.

2nd Floor:

This floor is designated for theses, back volumes of periodicals, reports, proceedings, Management Sciences and Engineering books. The International Collaborations​(IC) Office, NUST Archives and Book Bank are also located at this floor of the Central Library
